Before You Order a Phone Case: Check the Model, Fit and Design

By Modexa ยท Published

Use this phone case ordering checklist to confirm your exact model, camera openings, charging requirements and custom design before checking out at Modexa.

Use the exact model name, not just the phone family

Before choosing a case, open your phone's device information and note its complete model name. Keep any size or version suffix in that name. A case described for one version of a phone should not be assumed to fit another version with a similar name. Compare the model shown on the product page or designer with the phone in your hand, and ask for clarification if the option list does not contain an exact match.

Compare the camera and button openings

Look at the listing photographs alongside the back and sides of your phone. Check the camera arrangement, button positions, charging opening and speaker cutouts. If your phone has a separate camera protector, ask whether it can be used with the case rather than assuming there will be enough clearance. Photographs help identify questions, but the supported-model description is the detail to confirm before ordering.

Check charging and accessory requirements separately

Decide which accessories you want to keep using: a charging cable, wireless charger, magnetic stand, wallet or car mount. A case fitting the phone does not establish compatibility with every accessory. Check the case description and the accessory instructions together, especially if either product depends on a magnetic attachment or a particular phone position. Do not treat a magnetic feature in a product title as a promise about charging speed or compatibility with every device.

Choose the case before arranging the artwork

For a custom case, choose the supported phone model and case option first. The camera area and printable shape affect where a photograph or name can sit. Keep faces, small lettering and other essential details away from openings and edges in the preview. Read any design guidance shown in the tool. If a photograph is cropped, move or resize it deliberately instead of relying on the original image's framing.

Review the complete order, including the seller

Check the final device model, selected colour or other option, artwork placement and text spelling. Review the current price and the delivery information for that selection. On marketplace listings, note the seller identity and read the relevant fulfilment details. A visual match in a shopping grid is only the starting point; open the listing to confirm the exact item and options you will receive.

Resolve the uncertain detail before checkout

If the model, fit or accessory compatibility is unclear, send Modexa the product link and the exact phone model before ordering. For a personalised design, also describe the issue you see in the preview. Review the shipping and return policies for the order rather than assuming that a custom item has the same change-of-mind options as an unpersonalised product. The aim is a case chosen for your actual phone, with a design you have checked at the final step.
